Grasshopper Soccer franchises use a number of different locations. The type of venue you choose depends on the program you are running:

    a Centre programs - look for primary schools, high schools, council reserves or parks, indoor facilities, universities and sporting grounds. For the most part you would try to target
          primary or high schools as generally they are at a lower cost than other facilities.

    a School programs - target primary schools directly and aim to secure them at nil or a very low cost.

    a Holiday programs - go for venues that you already frequent, but at the same time remember that holiday programs are a great way to start up in a new area.

    a Birthday parties - can be run at any venue and are usually chosen by the parents of the birthday child.

Finding locations

You know what they say, location, location, location! When it comes to business, it is important that you find the right one. To help you do this, Grasshopper Soccer has put together this helpful list to consider.

Inviting - Your venue should be well looked after, with well trimmed grass, minimal graffiti, clean facilities with rubbish bins available (emptied regularly).

Easy to Find – Clear signs to make it easy to find for parents. A well-known school or park is great. Being on a main road or close to a large feature (shopping centre) is advantageous.

Parking - Ample parking is a bonus. Parents should not have to park streets away to get a car park.

Toilets – Access to toilets is preferred. Toilets should be easy to find from where you are coaching and be clean and well maintained.

Water - Not a necessity but it is always good to have access to a water tap or fountain of some sort.

Undercover Area - An undercover area which can be accessible on wet weather days or extremely hot days is desirable.

Shelter – It's preferable to have an area bordered by trees, providing shade for you and the parents watching. Buildings that have verandas or overhangs are also great.
